Would TOTALLY buy this fur collared cape if I needed another coat.  Has received great comments.
Just a quick note on capes.  My mother in law is 86 so she has difficulty placing her arms into a coat, so we purchased her a cape from a different retail store on line and it is perfect for her.  She no longer struggles with putting on a coat when she goes grocery shopping or to appointments.  Just thought I would mention that, since a cape is great option for the elderly.

 I have Christmas music on in the house this morning.  In fact, I may just play it non-stop all day today.

Still recommending this CD, and this version is only available at Target.... I purchased mine from their website.

LOVE IT!

 I have bad feet that need a lot of support and this boot, sort of a hiking boot from Merrell, serves my feet well.  They are great for my walks with the pups.

 I tried on the Merrell walking shoes and even they did not feel as good as the hiking boot.

Rowdy and I are totally recommending them, because now Mom can take him for walks.

They seem to run a bit small so consider going a half size larger than normal.

If you live in my area, they sell them at Gander Mountain.

Here is a cute ditty of a song I came across this morning just for fun!

 Even on a sunshine filled day, the temperatures can give you a chill this time of the year, so I love wearing a warm infinity scarf when outdoors.  This one is warm and yet not so bulky like some can be around the neck.

Mine is from The Gap, it is a lightly knitted scarf.

Totally recommending something like this if you live where the cold winter winds blow.

Special Gift

 I simply had to show you this rag quilt that my daughter made as a special order for a lady in Arizona.

The granddaughter loves lady bugs, so my daughter offered her a quote on a small quilt for her.

I think it turned out so fun!

If you are thinking of a gift for a young child or for an elderly person who needs a lap quilt at the nursing home, let me know and I will put you in contact with my daughter.  She lives in Iowa, offers quotes either with new fabrics or pre-used fabrics and has a range of pricing.  She ships anywhere in the U.S., but if you want something by Christmas you better get on the stick because she is a mom of four and works outside the home so ordering early would be necessary in order for her to schedule it into her day.  

Think about it... it makes a darling gift and if the past week across the U.S. is any sign of what this winter holds in store for us, then a quilt may be just what you need to give.
