I have a sweater coat.
A red one that I have had for most likely more than a decade, and although I may still wear it from time to time, it should probably be retired to the 'give it away' pile.
I subscribe to a few retail websites of which I know the clothing quality is up to my standards with well stitched seams and fabrics that won't fall apart in one washing.
Lately I had been receiving notices from The Loft that all... yes ALL of their sweaters were 40% off, their new fall styles, not clearance styles.
So I went to their store at our local mall and tried this light gray sweater coat on for size and fell in love with it.
Although this could also be worn in a dressed up fashion, I am pretty much a casual country, jean gal, so on went some suede boots, a pair of flared faded jeans with a high waist, a mens tan crew neck sweatshirt over a cream colored lightweight turtle neck, two necklaces for a touch of glam and of course my favorite leather hat.
All of this rain with temperatures in the low fifties has been chilling me through and through, to the bone kind of chill, so I wore the sweater all day today.
This sweater is heavier than my old sweater coat...
but I highly recommend it for anyone, who like me, is easily chilled on wet autumn day.
Here are the links to create this look.
