For those of you wondering about the berry smoothie I made yesterday afternoon,
here's my recipe.
1 large handful of fresh raspberries and blackberries.
(mine were picked fresh from a backyard bush)
1 whole peeled banana
8 oz. of soy milk
1/2 thumb size of fresh ginger
1-2 tsp protein powder
blend
When fully blended I like to pour mine over a bit of crushed ice.
It's a delicious afternoon pick me up of energy in a cup.

*note: I don't recommend always using a protein powder since it is a processed food, but I have some I need to use rather than throw it away, so I am using it.... my pharmacist does not recommend using a lot of it unless you are trying to build muscle*
Looks so good, although I think I'll skip the protein powder!
