An Instant Espresso

Months ago my husband asked me to please get some Instant Espresso while doing the grocery shopping, it's in the coffee aisle of course, and they only had one brand at our store to select from.

Now this isn't something that had ever appealed to my palate but I thought 'HEY'... if he wants it then my wish is his command.

The brand on the shelf was Medaglia D'oro *not paid to talk about this by the way*  so it was the brand that came home with me, and my husband enjoyed it very much.
I guess sometimes he just needs that extra kick.
Out of curiosity and also a change in our weather... much colder the past few days...I decided to give it a try and LOVE IT!
Of course I added a wee bit of my Bailery's Irish Cream Coffeemate which for me was a winning combo. *not paid to talk about their product either*
I made the espresso per the directions on the jar and it was perfect... well, as perfect as can be when you have never had a cup before and have nothing to compare to.
It's a great cold weather treat and an eye opener if you need one mid afternoon when that sleepy time feeling kicks in.
For me it paid off to try something new.

  1. Hmmm, not something I've ever tried. I wonder what brands we have in our stores.

  2. I wouldn't think they would have that brand south of the Mason-Dixon line - I grew up on Medaglia D'oro - the ground bean kind made in a maganetta - what Anglos call espresso and Italian-Americans call 'black coffee' or demitasse. While I love living in Virginia I sure do miss all the NYC foods.

    1. We lived in Arizona for years and it took a long time to adjust to food brands here on the East Coast, so I understand your missing the NYC foods... xox
