Springtime Cool Weather

It's been a busy and somewhat rainy week,

but in between the storms we have found the time to enjoy ourselves

and do some grilling on the deck.

This is my husband.... the man of the hour who is a very 'take charge' kind of guy and does all of the grilling.

 This is our little girl dog, our boxer, Izzy.

She's always very sniffy and curious when grilling happens.

 WE also found the time to do some planting between rain showers,

A couple buckets of daffodils will hopefully add some color beneath our Bradford Pear trees this year.

 and of course you can NEVER have enough pansies, so we have them in the planters on our deck, in pots on the front porch and back patio, and a few with the daffodils.

 The weather was so iffy, but mornings required that I wear a sweater.

I found this new white cable knit at H&M, a store a rarely step inside,

but who can resist a sale with a very nice cable knit for $20?

Certainly not I.

 I paired it with my favorite leather hat,

an old pair of Naturalizer leather boots.

a pair of Tommy Hilfiger jeans from a couple of years ago,

my Michael Kors Runway watch that I STILL LOVE from a few years ago,

and a matching necklace and bracelet from The Loft from my over-flowing jewelry box.

Watch Me

In my most recent  fashion post I linked to the watch above as being 'similar to' the one I was wearing. and Yes, it is an Anne Klein watch, but nowhere could I find a good likeness online of the actual Anne Klein watch I was wearing.

Although the one above may have a somewhat similar look, it has a round dial. I do own a round dial Michael Kors watch and love it, but I usually go for a rectangular face.  I am simply drawn to them.

 It's also rare that I go for a great deal of 'bling' on a watch, but once again, I went against the grain of what my usual choice in the look of a watch is when I made the purchase of this one years ago.

I could own twenty watches, and in fact I may own that many should I choose to be honest about it, but many I just outgrew my love/like for and they have ended up in the dreaded drawer of no longer loved watches.

 I do tend to wear this particular watch often, although the clasp makes me break out sometimes on my wrist, probably due to it's nickel content.... but I would also love to have a nice leather strapped watch, and I fell in love with the one pictured below.

It's another Anne Klein, a brand I have had good luck with, and the price does not break the bank and fall into the $200 category... 

However,

everywhere I have searched for this watch on line it is 'sold out'.

My choice of a leather strapped watch may simply have to wait.

It's a classic look and one that I hope to hold out for and I am thinking that Christmas may bring it back into stock somewhere.
