After taking some backyard photos I climbed the stairs to the back deck where Rowdy loves to lay and watch over his domain. Nothing is safe from his gaze; deer, birds, butterflies, bunnies in the yard, and yes..... flies and wasps.
He simply WILL NOT allow anything on his domain.
Winged insects are at his mercy.
He noticed a fly and then a wasp.
And so began the stare down.
And then it flies away buzzing at his hip and butt.
NO!
Do not touch the butt!!
That is sacred ground.
And do not think you can buzz in a random pattern overhead
and get away with it either, Mr. Wasp.
Rowdy will hunt you down.
He takes no prisoners.
We await the day when there comes a loud YIP from Rowdy as he captures one of these wild beasts that torment him each summer day.
*sigh*
Our darling boy has been forewarned.
You brought a smile to my face . . . that Rowdy has handsome expressions!
