A friend posted this video today on Facebook.
It shows manta rays leaping up and out of the ocean and then belly flopping to create a huge splash and noise on the water in order to display it's prowess.
The video states that mostly male mantas perform this leap but that there are times when the female also participates.
All I can say is what a beautiful experience it must have been to be there and film this activity.
We, as humans, miss so much being creatures of the land.
Oh to have gills.
