Hoss Hat

*decided this hat looks somewhat Hoss Cartwright-ish*
It's me again spending some last moments alone with the garden and already discussing with my  husband what we will plant next spring.
I miss my fresh green salads each day, although a wonderful and thoughtful neighbor was sharing and caring enough to bring us a large bag of Kale and also collard greens.
We LOVE the kale, but the collard is a bit more pungent and I can't use the 'L' word  on it.

*worth the watch if you want to a laugh*

Veterans' Day was none other than GORGEOUS this year.
I wanted to take my husband out for a nice lunch, but before I could ask he had already decided what he wanted for lunch here at home.... guess I will use the money not spent on a lunch out on gifts instead.

We certainly enjoyed our flowers in the garden this year, but lesson learned, we should probably plant some next to the garden rather than in it due to how intrusive some of them can become.
I do enjoy leaving them until late fall before pulling them up though.
Wouldn't you want a long life if you were a flower?

Ding dong the mums are dead... which old mums, the wicked mums, ding dong the wicked mums are dead.
LOL
Actually they are my favorite fall flowers to have potted on the back patio as well as on the upper deck.

They will be cut back and placed in our lower garage where my husband keeps all of his yard toys, ie: the mowers, rakes, etc.  Perhaps we will plant them outdoors next year and buy new for these pots.

Today is grocery shopping day as well as picking up an ordered item at Macy's store AND going in search of a great pair of walking shoes.  Merrells perhaps,
Let's chat later, okay?

  1. Oh that man died way too young. Dan Blocker had such a great character in Hoss. They were all fun. I miss the simplicity of Bonanza.
