Sometimes Shots Bite

Ahhh, she said.  What a classic October day today is when the sky is as blue as on the beaches of the Florida panhandle area.  Days do not get any better than this.
Yesterday was a blur for me after having had a flu shot and a pneumonia shot, one in each upper arm, and the blood drawn for labs from the left arm as well.  Normally this is all just 'meh' and means nothing to me, but I woke up Friday with the thud of pain in my right arm where the pneumonia shot had been given and pain that forced me to leave my arm in a downward position all day.  No lifting of the arm without PAIN, and my body felt as though it was fighting both vaccinations so I doped up on LOTS of Tylenol all day and went from nap to nap to nap, unable to kick the tired feeling.

And so it was that Friday was a non-existent day for me and to be honest I couldn't tell you what color the sky was, the temperature, whether it rained or snowed... I was gosh darn done in for the day.
Today, however, I awoke feeling fabulous and so I donned some stretchy black slacks, my chambray shirt with skeletons on it, and a white and yellow scarf that screamed SUMMER!  The straw fedora kept the sun from my eyes as I snapped a few photos of my Milani brand lipstick in the Fruit Punch color that always puts a smile on my face.

Small gold hoops rested on my ear lobes and gosh oh golly, it just felt great to be alive, off the couch and soaking up some October sunshine.

So how are you today?
Alive and kicking?
Watch out for those pneumonia shots... they might just bite!

  1. I had a pneumonia shot in 2011, and it did hurt, if I recall. But I haven't had as much trouble with my breathing and asthma since. At least you know you're good for a while.
