How I Wear My Gray

Today I'm taking part in the 'How I Wear My' on Adrienne Shubin's blog,

Fur seems to be on my buying list this season, and living in the mountainous area of southwestern Virginia, we cool off quickly, sunny days but those days can still be a bit chilly.
Fur adds warmth, and a look of fun sophistication, so I'm in on this fashion trend.

The gray vest was a purchase from Cato, a brown hat from Minnetonka which I've had a few years and seems to find it's way onto my head on a daily basis.
The light gray, light weight turtleneck has also been in my closet a year or two, and the gray bling'ed out necklace was a purchase last year online from Emerald Bling.
All together it makes a funky look that I enjoy wearing.

Recently I came across this furry shirt which Steinmart refers to as a poncho.
A cowl neckline keeps me from getting too warm, and I'm wearing a gray light sweater weight turtleneck under it to keep my arms from getting chilled.

The slack may appear black, but they are a dark gray ponte pant from Macy's.
I have a few pair of these in the closet, since they have a nice wide elastic waist, and as long as you hang them to dry you don't end up with that horrible twisted elastic waist that so many ponte styles can give you.
I'm also wearing my trusty leather hat and around my neck is an emerald/turquoise colored long necklace.
You'll catch a better glimpse of it if you watch the video.
Now, here's my favorite gray outfit with a pop of pink which totally brightens my day.
Once again, the dark gray ponte slacks, a pair of casual lace up booties by Clarks... also old from the closet, the long sleeved gray turtleneck sweater from Steinmart, the slightly puffered vest from Steinmart, and a two tone gray scarf from The Loft which is no longer available.
Around my neck are two sentimental necklaces, one holds numerous 14kt gold charms from back in the mid 1980's and the other was the purchase of a sterling silver Zuni necklace when on a trip my sister and I took together to Taos New Mexico.

Thanks to Adrienne for hosting her once a month 'How I Wear My' series.
It always brings out some great looking ladies sharing their unique style.
